Days 20 & 21: 8 & 9 August - Nuneaton to Hawkesbury Junction

 

Entrance to the Ashby Canal, 22 miles of lock free cruising with another 8 miles under restoration.
We'll keep this for another time, as it's known to be a mite shallow at the best of times!

Lady Godiva? This boatyard has a creative streak




The Greyhound at Hawkesbury Junction, famous boaters' pub.  We'll stop here for day or two and catch up with chores.  It's on the outskirts of Coventry and there's a big Tesco near the branch of the canal which goes into the city centre. We took a walk along this branch...
